Man, woman found dead in Stockton | News

STOCKTON, CA - Stockton police detectives were investigating the discovery of a man and a woman found dead in a car Tuesday afternoon.

The pair were found in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn at 1707 West Fremont Street, said Officer Joe Silva.

The initial investigation suggests the man shot the woman and then himself, Silva said. A gun was found in the vehicle.

Investigators have learned the man and women had been in a relationship at some point.

Silva said detectives think the shootings evolved from domestic violence.

The individuals' identities have not been released.

A person working in the parking lot made the discovery and called 911, Silva said.
