STOCKTON, CA - As Petra Anderson recovers from gunshot wounds she suffered in the Colorado theater shooting last week, her sister has posted a video detailing their financial struggles paying medical bills.
Anderson, a recent University of the Pacific music graduate, was shot in the head. Her sister Chloe says in the video the family faces two emergencies because their mother Kim is also preparing to undergo aggressive cancer treatments.
"My sister's hospital bills on top of that -- reality is pretty daunting," Chloe said in the video.
Through the website www.indiegogo.com/readytobelieve, the family hopes for a goal of $250,000 in donations. The fund is already past $200,000..
Anderson graduated in May with a degree in music composition and then returned to her family home in Colorado.
