STOCKTON, Calif. - A man shot in Stockton succumbed to his injuries at an area hospital Monday night.

Officers responded to the 9400 block of Fox Creek Dr. at 8:51 p.m. following a report of a shooting and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Stockton police reports.

The man was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Police said detectives were dispatched to the scene and were continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

STOCKTON, CA - A man was shot and injured while walking down a downtown Stockton street Friday night.

The 37-year-old victim said he was near Lafayette and San Joaquin streets when he walked by three teenage boys, Stockton police said.

After he passed the teens, the victim heard three gunshots and then felt pain in his back.

The man then ran to the McDonald's at Center and Washington streets where he called police. The man was taken to a nearby hospital for two non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

Police said officers were unable to find a crime scene. There was no description of the shooting suspects available.

STOCKTON, CA - The man arrested after a police standoff at a Stockton motel was on the U.S. Marshal's Top 10 Most Want list.

Alejandro Ruvalcaba, 26, was wanted in connection to a shooting two weeks ago, Stockton police said. Police responded to the 1000 block of E. Lindsay Street around 4:50 p.m. to find a man with multiple gunshot wounds.

During the investigation, police learned that the victim and the suspect, "Looney", got into an argument over a woman. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police were able identify the shooting suspect as Ruvalcab.

On Wednesday around 3:30 p.m., members of the U.S. Marshal's Task Force saw Ruvalcaba walking from one room to another room at the Capri Motel on 1140 North Wilson Way. Stockton police and the San Joaquin County deputies were called to the scene by the U.S. Marshals.
