STOCKTON, Calif. - A victim of a drive-by shooting Friday night in Stockton died from his injuries Tuesday night.

A man and a woman were wounded in the drive-by shooting Friday around 8:39 p.m. on the 400 block of W. 3 rd Street, Stockton police Officer Joe Silva said.

The man was placed on life support and was not identified until Tuesday morning as Pedro Valenzuela, 32.

Tuesday night, hospital staff told police Valenzuela dies because of his injuries.

The 24-year-old woman sustained serious injuries, but her condition has been stabilized.
