Stockton Forward Releases New Coalition Video "We Are Stockton, We Are a Community"

3Stockton Forward has released a new coalition video on the homepage of www.StocktonForward.com. The video features local residents, students, landmarks, and businesses in its effort to encourage members of the community to join the coalition’s efforts.

The video was created to provide a visual presentation of the challenges Stockton faces, but also the opportunities that await its community. By highlighting landmarks and local businesses, children and workforce, the video is to remind the community that Stockton is a city that is moving forward. Large-scale investments in the Port and businesses, community partnership programs, and neighborhood events and rallies are positive signs of growth and movement.

Specific locations featured in the one minute and 20 second video include University of the Pacific, City Hall, Bank of Stockton, Food 4 Less, the Miracle Mile, the Waterfront, Pittman Elementary School, Shomi Sushi, Sassy Pants Children’s Boutique, and local parks. Footage from El Concilio’s Annual Tamale Dinner was also included. The script is outlined below.

Local organizations that have joined the effort in creating a unified voice include the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce, San Joaquin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, San Joaquin County Office of Education, Stockton Asparagus Festival, Stockton Symphony, Stockton Thunder, the Miracle Mile, United Way of San Joaquin County, Goodwill Industries, and the Bank of Agriculture & Commerce, amongst many others.

Video Script:

We are Stockton. We are a community. We are resilient. We are moving forward.

We have faced tough times – our city declared bankruptcy. It’s time to put the rough patch behind us. We have a renewed sense of personal responsibility and community activism to move our city forward.

With a thoughtful and responsible plan – coupled with a dedicated coalition of community partners – we can get more cops, support our schools, improve health services and bring more jobs to the city.

We are moving in the right direction; and as a result, Stockton will emerge a stronger community that is a more competitive place to do business and a better place to live.

We are Stockton. And we are moving forward. Join our coalition at StocktonForward.com.
